Chapter Seventeen

As the month progressed, there were no more destructive or threatening incidents. All was quiet on the harassing me front. Big Bob had gotten my car taken care of, and it actually looked better than I thought it would. My window had been fixed, and all was well, even though we still didn't know who'd run us off the road.

Cash and I were closer than ever. He'd taken me horseback riding, and we'd even spent a weekend at the lake together. It was so wonderful, and the sex, God, the sex was phenomenal.

There were times where Cash made love to me in the slowest, sweetest way. Then there were times that he took me up against the wall, on the floor, or in the shower. Those times were rough, raw, and it gave me a glimpse of the real Cash. The one who didn't hold back from giving me his all. The sex had also turned kinkier. He'd tied me to the bed, spread eagle. He'd tied my hands together so that I couldn't touch him while he tortured me with nibbles and kisses, and rubbed me down with oil. The most surprising aspect of our sexual relationship was when he took me on all fours, and proceeded to spank me while fucking me. It had taken me off guard, but I'd enjoyed the hell out of it.

At the sound of my name, I looked up from the ledger I'd been staring at for the past half hour. I really needed to stop daydreaming about Cash and get my work done.

Robert was standing in my door way with a grin. “Stop woolgathering boss lady.”

“What's up?” I asked, noticing there was someone behind him, who he kept blocking from entering my office.

He looked grim for a moment. “Sheri is here to see you. I told her I'd check to see if you weren't too busy.” Which was code that he'd get rid of her if I wanted him too. I took a deep breath. Guess I better get this over with.

“It's all good Robert, thank you.” I closed the ledger and sat back in my chair. Robert moved out of the way and Sheri flounced in. All big blond hair and big boobs, in a barely there sundress. It was damn cold out for her to be wearing something like that.

“What can I do for you, Sheri?” I asked, watching the anger cross her face. She was shaking with it.

“I'll get right to the point. Stay the hell away from the Sheriff. I laid claim to him over a year ago!” she hissed angrily.

I closed my eyes and rubbed my forehead absently. This was going to give me a headache.

“Sheri, Cash isn't interested in you. What's it going to take to convince you? He's told you a dozen times, and we have been seeing each other pretty regularly.”

“He's mine! You are just a diversion. He doesn't want a fat bitch like you. He's just not ready to marry yet. I'm giving him time.
